COVID-19 Tests
We offer both Rapid and PCR tests for kids and adults. Please be aware that children with immediate needs may take priority over adult testing. Children must receive a medical exam prior to testing. We do not provide medical exams for adults, as we are a pediatric facility. (Adults do not receive an exam with a COVID-19 test.)
COVID-19 Test Fees and Billing
Child Exam Self-Pay (Exam required with test) $149.00
Child COVID-19 PCR Test Self-Pay: $40.00 in addition to the exam
Child Rapid Test Self-Pay: $40.00 in addition to the exam
Adult Rapid COVID Test: $40.00 (Includes PCR if desired)
Adult PCR Test (Sent to outside lab): $40.00
All adult tests (over age 22) must be self-pay
We are a pediatric facility and do not bill insurance for adult tests

How do I schedule a COVID-19 test?
For the quickest scheduling, COVID-19 tests should be booked online with our easy appointment link or you may call our clinic. Please complete the patient registration process before entering the facility. Upon arrival, call us from your car and we will take you directly to a clean, private exam room.
How and when will I receive my COVID test results?
Rapid test results are available within 15 minutes through our on-site lab. PCR tests must be sent to a state-designated lab for diagnosis. Due to high demand, results may take 1-4 days. Test results will be posted in your KIDS Urgent Care Patient Portal. (You set this up during your registration.) If you have not seen results in 4 days, please call the clinic.
How can I prepare my child for the COVID-19 Test?
We encourage you to watch this video with your child before coming for your child's COVID-19 test. It is a child-oriented explanation of what to expect at the appointment and will help them feel more comfortable.
KIDS Urgent Care Safety Procedures
In order to protect our patients and staff, we have instituted a mobile waiting room. Patients should call from their cars upon arrival and will be taken directly into an exam room upon entry. We have implemented enhanced cleaning and disinfecting routines before and after each patient visit. All of our pediatric staff wear fresh face coverings, gloves and PPE covering for each patient. Our staff adheres to strict Illinois Department of Public Health and CDC guidelines for COVID-19 testing, cleanliness and safety.
Telemedicine Assessments for Potential COVID-19 Patients*
Our pediatricians can assess your child from the comfort of your own home. They can determine if your son or daughter should be tested for COVID-19 before you come to the clinic. Video visits are easy to set up and can be scheduled through the link on our home page. If necessary, same-day COVID-19 testing will be set up. KIDS Urgent Care is using Illinois Department of Public Health and CDC guidelines as to who should be tested.
