In case you do need to wait for a few minutes your little Astronaut will have plenty to do. In the simulation station they will encounter a life-sized light up peg board, a mission control activity wall, as well as a mission to Mars climbing pod.
Dr. Abdullah is a pediatrician who serves as the Medical Director for KIDS Urgent Care in Wheaton. She was born in Chicago and hails from the Western Suburbs. After graduating from the University of Chicago with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, she then completed a Master's Degree in Experimental and Molecular Pathology from the University of Southern California. She graduated from Drexel University Medical School in Philadelphia and went on to complete The Harriet Lane Pediatrics Residency Program at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. After completing her training, she remained on staff at Johns Hopkins as a part time hospitalist and has been a hospitalist in Chicago for many years. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Sheela Jayaram has been a pediatrician for 35 years. She completed her Residency at Rush University. She has been a Wheaton resident for 30+ years.
Dr. Walker did both her medical school training and pediatric residency, including one year as Chief Resident at Loyola University Medical Center, in Maywood, Illinois. She is board certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). She has served on the Board of the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics as a member-at-large. Dr. Walker has received several awards including the Patient's Choice Award and the Silver Apple Award. She won the Fitzsimmons Oak Park Community Service Award twice for her involvement at the Children's Clinic in Oak Park and she was ICAAP Volunteer of the Month in March 2010. Dr. Walker lives in Oak Park with her husband. She has 2 children and 5 grandchildren.
